Leaders of farmers’ associations and agricultural producers submitted a series of proposals to the new Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Ion Sula for improving the working conditions of farmers. The official agreed with the proposals presented by farmers’ representatives.

The Ministry of Agriculture informs that the discussions centered on a number of topical problems faced in the agricultural sector. The representatives of the NGOs suggested increasing the subsidizations fund for this year, finishing the distribution of compensations to the winegrowers and fruit growers affected by Russia’s ban, efficiently using the Polish loan and continuing the steps taken to found the National Agrifood Center.

The formulated proposals were supported by the new minister. They will be yet studied by other decision makers, such as the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Finance.
