New adviser to President

Cristina Buga was named adviser to the President on relations with the diaspora by an order signed by President Igor Dodon on May 17, IPN reports.

In a posting on Facebook, the President says this candidate was chosen out of the over 100 applicants. Cristina Buga had lived for over 10 years in France, studied at the Pierre Mendès France University of Grenoble and has a master’s degree in international economy and a doctor’s degree in economic sciences from the Grenoble-based University.

During many years, she had worked as an associate professor of economic sciences at the Pierre Mendès France University of Grenoble and as associate researcher in international affairs at the University of Pretoria.

One of the first tasks of Cristina Buga is to organize a meeting with the Moldovan diaspora in Istanbul within Igor Dodon’s visit to Turkey next week.
