The Superior Council of the Judiciary today appointed Judge Viorica Puica to serve as acting president of the Supreme Court of Justice. This comes after the predecessor, Tamara Chișca-Doneva, resigned earlier today.
Since May 10, Viorica Puica has been temporarily posted from the Chisinau/Centru Court to serve as a Supreme Court judge for a term of 6 months.
Judge Puica will serve as acting president until her six-month posting to the Supreme Court ends.
