In the forth round of negotiations on March 19, the negotiators representing the former components of the Alliance for European Integration (AEI) discussed the functionality and shortcomings in the work of the Government, especially the ministries, IPN reports.
The representative of the Lib-Dems Liliana Palihovici said the discussions were constructive and will continue until they find acceptable solutions.
Negotiator on behalf of the Democratic Party Adrian Candu said they analyzed the executive’s work. “We took stock of the work done by the ministries and examined their shortcomings,” he stated. According to the MP, they didn’t yet discuss the distribution of ministries. The next meeting will focus on the functionality of the legislature’s institutions.
The Liberal Party’s representative at the negotiations Corina Fusu said that in the next meeting they will consider solutions to avoid the conflicts of interest that affect the work of some of the institutions.
The negotiations on the formation of a new parliamentary majority started one month after the Lib-Dems withdrew from the alliance constitution agreement and following the dismissal of the Government on March 5.
