Negotiators come together to agree final coalition agreement

The negotiators of the PLDM, PDM and the group of Hadarca will hold a meeting today, at 10.30, to finalize the text of the agreement on the constitution of a new parliamentary majority, Liberal MP Ana Gutu has told IPN.

The last negotiations took place yesterday evening, until late at night. Prime Minister designate Iurie Leanca met with the group of Hadarca first and then with members of the PDM, which convened the Political Bureau. After the negotiations, nobody made statements for the press.

Before the meeting of the PDM’s Political Bureau, one of the party’s negotiators Valeriu Lazar said that the chances of voting in the new executive are rather big. Asked if he will form part of the new governmental team, Lazar said he would like to continue work, but such a decision is taken by his party.

Today, May 30, it is the day when Iurie Leanca will present his government program in Parliament in the hope that he will gain the support of at least 51 MPs so that the Cabinet is invested. The Parliament’s sitting starts at 2pm.
