Negotiations on formation of new alliance will continue Nov. 3

The negotiations on the formation of a new pro-European alliance in Parliament will continue on November 3. Marian Lupu, the leader of the Democratic Party, which initiated the discussions, said invitations will be sent to all those who really want Moldova’s European course to be continued, but didn’t specify if the Liberal Democratic Party, which hasn’t yet decided whether to take part in the negotiations or not, will be invited, IPN reports.

“I don’t think the time is now opportune for holding the meetings of political councils and national councils. Tomorrow we will hold negotiations with the pro-European parties and pro-European partners in the same number as the one recorded in the first consultations. But I’m absolutely sure that in this situation of great confusion and hypocrisy, on the part of the PLDM actually, there will be many pro-European MPs who will support these negotiations,” stated Marian Lupu.

The first round of negotiations to form a pro-European ruling alliance was held on October 30. After the meeting, the representatives of the Democratic Party and the Liberal Party and unaffiliated MP Iurie Leanca said the first discussions were constructive and represented a starting point. The Liberal Democratic Party didn’t take part in that meeting.
