The National Bank of Moldova (NBM) will join the Holiday Club “Academia Ta” organized by the Republican Center for Children and Youth “Artico” between July and August. The Bank will stage financial education workshops on the safety of cashless payments for the participants, IPN reports.
The central bank thus continues the interactive financial education campaign, this time for students aged between 8 and 13 years. Friendly communication, adapted to the age of those present, will effectively contribute to the transmission of information related to the evolution of the financial environment, the NBM said in a press release.
The workshops on financial topics will be part of the program of development and entertainment activities, training sessions in various fields, designed to bring the little ones the joy of a holiday full of creativity, knowledge and the feeling of discovery of the world, including the financial one.
NBM experts will tell students how electronic money appeared and evolved, what the cards for children and adolescents represent and how they work, attached to a parent’s sub-account. Also, NBM representatives will explain to teenagers how to safely use cards, telling them curiosities from the field of payments.
The National Bank of Moldova conducts financial education programs for different target groups, especially for children and young people, in order to develop balanced and effective financial behavior, oriented towards individual and country-level well-being.
