NBM stages visits to National Museum of History on 30th anniversary of Moldovan leu

The National Bank of Moldova (NBM) will organize a series of public events on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the putting of the Moldovan leu into circulation. Among these are visits to the National Museum of History of Moldova which will be staged during November 25-30 in partnership with the Museum, IPN reports.

“All those willing to know about the history of the currency since ancient times up to now and to see valuable archeological proofs exhibited in the Museum are invited. Children, young people, grownups, parents and grandparents – all those who want to familiarize themselves with the monetary chronicle and broaden their horizons and to also taste the splendor of money art from its roots - are welcome,” said the NBM.

At the entrance to the Museum, the visitors will receive an access ticket-card to take part the anniversary excursion. This will contain QR codes to links on the central bank’s official website and other useful information for consumers.

The visits will be free and will be staged as follows: on the weekend – according to the working program of the Museum, while on workdays (Monday-Thursday), at every hour on the hour, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.

There will be constituted groups of 20-30 persons older than 12. The students will be accompanied by a grownup who will be responsible for the security of minors during the excursion.

Applications to take part in the trips on Monday through Thursday should be submitted to edufin@bnm.md. The requests will be granted in the order in which they come.
