The National Bank of Moldova puts into circulation the commemorative coin “European Moldova”, which will complete the series “Historic events”, starting with January 2. The coin is devoted to a historic event for Moldova – the decision to give the greenlight for the opening of accession negotiations with the European Union, taken by the European Council on December 14, 2023, IPN reports.

The commemorative coin has a color design, is minted in silver, has a face value of 100 and a circulation of 2,000 units. The coin is packed in a transparent methacrylate capsule and a presentation box, being accompanied by a certificate of authenticity with a QR code, which, when being scanned, redirects to the National Bank’s website with information about the features of the currency. The certificate of authenticity is signed by the governor of the National Bank of Moldova.

The commemorative coin is sold to the general public through licensed banks of the Republic of Moldova.
