The governor of the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) Octavian Armașu said the reformation of the banking sector continues and this is a big responsibility that the employees of the sector undertook so as to be near the people and to offer them safe, advantageous and modern services. In a message addressed to employees of the banking sector on the occasion of their professional day, the governor said the sector coped with the difficulties owing to the decisions taken at the right time, IPN reports.
“We have managed to overcome the uncertainty that tested the whole world. The overlapping of the recent international crisis with local particularities placed us before continuous challenges that maintain the activity in all the spheres in an alert regime for coping with the risks. In this regard, the banking sector coped with the difficulties owing to the decisions taken at the right moment and to their implementation, owing to the reforms of the last few years and, what’s more important, owing to the involvement of each of you professionally, civically and purely humanly,” said the governor.
According to him, the banking sector wants to be stronger. “Let’s develop an innovative banking sector based on digitization, in a healthy market economy and with loyal competition. I will reaffirm that the Republic of Moldova does not have another solution than to embrace a path to innovation and continuous modernization. There is big potential,” stated Octavian Armașu.
The governor expressed his confidence that the banking sector employees will continue to make efforts and will study and satisfy the needs of consumers, will promote new ideas and solutions in a bid to achieve the best result, an inspired result coming from heart and the wish to do everything in the best way.
