The 7th edition of the National Volunteer’s Week will take place between May 12 and May 20. MPs, ministers, ambassadors, representatives of the abroad communities from Italy, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, and thousands of volunteers from the country will participate in various actions to promote and encourage volunteering, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The schedule includes events like the “Know your NGO” Fair, a flash mob on Zebra 3 crosswalk, the social-ecologic initiative Hai, Moldova! and the campaign “Gifts from the bunny for village children”. The organizers want to stimulate people and communities to be in the forefront of social change, discovering and proving their collective power to encourage positive changes
The week was inspired from practices in the US, Romania, Canada and Australia and has become since 2007 the biggest event for promoting volunteering.
