The campaign titled “What Union with Romania means?” reached the municipality of Chisinau after the organizers, members of the National Unity Party (PUN), visited over 80 localities. The campaign is aimed at familiarizing the Moldovans with the advantages of reuniting with Romania, IPN reports.
MP Iurie Reniţă, Moldova’s ex-ambassador to Romania, said that this event is very important. “I want to assure you of my readiness to contribute to the common effort to live in a reunified country and a Europe of democracy, stability, security and prosperity. But this can be done only by reunification with Romania. Other options need time to be put into practice or cannot be implemented at all,” said the MP.
For now, Chisinau is the capital city of people’s unfulfilled dreams. The rapprochement between Moldova’s capital and Bucharest is an absolute necessity, especially the creation of mechanisms of interaction between the citizens of the two Romanian capitals, said PUN vice president Corneliu Pântea.
“The campaign “What Union with Romania means?” is a political platform of the National Unity Party, which comes to support each citizen of the Republic of Moldova. We want to reconcile everyone by a country project that has multiple evident advantages for all the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, regardless of the spoken language. This country project is not only for Romanians, Moldovans, which are the majority population of this territory, but also for all those who settled near us voluntarily or involuntarily,” said PUN president Octavian Ţâcu, who is the party’s candidate for President of the Republic of Moldova.
