The national Under 21 football team of Moldova will take part in the Community Cup next year too, even if a number of national squads refused to go to St. Petersburg, IPN reports.
Only eight national teams of the 15 countries that formed part of the Soviet Union will compete for the Cup. Besides the team train by Danut Oprea, the competition will also involve Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kirgizstan, Estonia and Lithuania. The 24th tournament will take place on January 14-25.
The last time Moldova ranked ninth at the Community Cup. The title of champion is now held by the team of South Africa, which competed outside contest.
