National theaters from Chisinau and Timisoara launch a joint project staged by Catalina Buzoinau
The National theatre “Mihai Eminescu” will open on Thursday, October 19 its theatrical session, with the plays “The Doctor Despite Himself”, directed by Sergiu Cozub and on November 7 the first appearance of “Family Stories” by Biljana Srbljanovic will be presented. The play is directed by Mihai Fusu.
The theatrical session also includes plays like “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, “The Evening Prayer”, “Oltea”, “The South Pole”, “Hedda Gabler” and “The She-wolves”.
According to the press secretary of the National Theatre of Chisinau, Veronica Soltan, the novelty of this theatrical session is the international project “The Dream”, inspired by the work of Mircea Cartarescu, staged by the well-known director Catalina Buzoinau. The project, financed by the Romanian Cultural Institute includes 6 actors from each theatre from Timisoara and Chisinau and the choreograph Malina Andrei from Timisoara.
At the same time, the National Theatre of Chisinau announces about the organization by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the City Hall of Chisinau of the third edition of the National Theatre Festival. The jury will consider the theatrical production of the last session and will offer 11 awards to the contesters of those 20, state and private theaters.
The event will take place between November 27 and December 3.
