The national tennis team of Moldova defeated Algeria 3-0 in the second match of the 2017 Fed Cup Europe/Africa Zone Group 3, IPN reports.

The first game lasted for almost three hours. Gabriela Porubin beat with difficulty 16-year-old Lynda Benkaddour 7-6, 6-7, 6-4. Later, Alexandra Perper defeated Amira Benaissa 6-3, 6-4. In the doubles, Alexandra Perper and Vitalia Stamat won easily against Amira Benaissa / Fatima Zohra Boukezzi 6-1, 6-3.

On June 16, Moldova plays Morocco and the winner qualifies for the semifinals. As Moldova, Morocco beat Algeria and Mozambique 3-0. Only the two winners of the June 17 semifinals will qualify for the 2017 Fed Cup Europe/Africa Zone Group 2.
