The players of the national team of Moldova will have the chance to take revenge against the amateurs of Andorra. After the 1-1 draw obtained in August in Chisinau, the two national squads will play one more friendly. The Moldovan Football Federation reached an agreement with the similar organization of Andorra to hold this match on March 5, 2014 abroad, IPN reports.
After the tie scored on Zimbru Stadium, the tricolors left the field under the whistles of the supporters. Even if Andorra is one of the weakest national squads in the world, it caused problems in the first direct match against Moldova too. In 2011, Moldova’s national team won by 2-1 in Portugal, as a result of the goal scored by Igor Bugaiov in overtime.
In the match against Andorra next spring, the national team will be trained also by Ion Caras, whose contract will be extended. “Ion Caras started a job that should be continued. If another coach comes, he will start everything from the very beginning. The decision will be taken by the Committee of Coaches in December,” the president of the Moldovan Football Federation Pavel Cebanu has told IPN.
The best national players, coaches and referees will be named in the Moldovan Football Laureates Gala on December 15.
