More than 1,000 teachers are needed in the schools of Moldova. According to an analysis by the Ministry of Education, the schools need mainly teachers of math, Info-Prim Neo reports. There is also a shortage of teachers of physical education, physics, musical education, French, Romanian language and literature, and history. Over 200 teachers are needed in Chisinau. The rest of the applications came from Straseni, Hancesti, Cimislia, UTA Gagauzia, Calarasi, and Ungheni. Deputy Minister of Education Loretta Handrabura said that in order to fill all the vacancies, the Ministry will distribute the applications among teacher training colleges and universities, according to specialties. The graduates of universities and vocations schools who will go to work in villages will benefit from concessions during the first three years of work, including allowances of 30,000 lei for university graduates and 24,000 lei for college graduates. The young specialists will be also provided with dwellings or will be paid the rent.
