The national rugby team of Moldova on November 8 plays the first match of the new round for qualifying for group 1A of the European Nations Cup. Moldova meets Ukraine in Chisinau, IPN reports.
In a week, Moldova will play against Poland, while in another seven days against Sweden. All the games will take place at the Dinamo stadium in Chisinau. “We plan to score three victories in these matches,” player Andrei Romanov told the journalists.
Moldova plays in the same group with the Netherlands and Belgium. “The objective is clear: to qualify for the next stage of the competition,” stated the president of the Moldovan Rugby Federation Vasile Revenco.
Moldova’s lineup includes the best rugby players Vadim Cobylash from Sale Sharks, and Veaceslav Titica and Oleg Prepelita from Krasnyi Iar. In the previous round, Moldova failed to qualify for group 1A of the European Nations Cup, finishing second in group 1B, five points away from Germany.
