The National Renaissance Alliance Party (ARN) has announced its participation in the European Parliament elections of June 2024. The party urges the Romanian citizens in Moldova to support it so that it becomes their voice in the European Parliament.
In a press conference hosted by IPN, ARN chairman Petre Costea said that the Alliance will contend in the European Parliament elections of this June through an electoral alliance that includes eight or nine parties that decided to close the ranks and join together to promote the interests of the Romanians on both sides of the Prut River in the European Union and in the European Parliament.
He noted that the National Renaissance Alliance is a party that works in accordance with Romania’s laws. In the Republic of Moldova, he is on a tour to inform the public about the party and its platform.
The National Renaissance Alliance was founded in October 2020. It is a conservative, Christian Democratic party with traditional ideology. “We are a pro-values political party that promotes fundamental human rights in the public space and through lobbying at Romanian and European levels. We also promote the right to life of unborn children. We promote the traditional, natural family, natural marriage consisting of a man and a woman, the nuclear family made up of parents and their biological children. We also promote freedom of religion, national sovereignty, human dignity, from conception to natural death, and other similar topics that are dear to us, the Romanians on both sides of the Prut, such as parental rights and fundamental freedoms, freedom of speech and so on,” said Petre Costea.
He noted that 2024 will be a very important year from economic and political viewpoints, when things will be reset for the next two-three election cycles. That’s why the party decided to run in the European Parliament elections. The elections held in Romania or at European level will directly or indirectly affect the developments in the Republic of Moldova. That’s why he is here to say that the values of the people of Bessarabia will be promoted by the ARN in the European Parliament elections.
Octavian Alexandrescu, head of the Executive Bureau of the Prahova ARN branch, called on the people to support the ARN to reach the European Parliament. “In the European Parliament, in the Romanian Parliament, in communities, in your localities, be with us. We invite you and we will fight for what we believe in, and we will fight for you, for an increasingly better life for the Romanians,” said Octavian Alexandrescu.
