National producers will enjoy privileges in public procurement
The Government approved a list of goods that in the public procurement process in 2011 could be purchased only from national producers, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The list includes products made from beef, pork and poultry, grains, except rice and buckwheat, wheat and corn flour, fresh vegetables, fruit, except citrus fruit, marmalades and jams, eggs, juices, dairy products, patisseries and bakery products, walnuts, detergents for washing dishes, shampoos, solid and liquid soaps, etc.
It also contains 49 types of construction materials like reinforced concrete poles for electricity lines, pipes, plastic flexible tubes and others.
The move forms part of the state intervention measures aimed at mitigating the effects of the economic crisis on the home market and at supporting the national producers that are in a less favorable position than the foreign companies that export similar goods to Moldova.
