National Prize pool starts in a week

The application to the National Prize contest will take place June 2 through 30. The contest is open to all Moldovan citizens who have substantially contributed to science, culture, art and sports, or to those who played a decisive role in promoting the country on the international level, which ultimately led to significant technical-scientific and socio-economic progress, as well as the progress of national and international culture, reports Info-Prim Neo, citing a press release of the contest committee. The candidacy is proposed by the Ministries, the Academy of Sciences, universities, art unions, sports federations, as well as winners of the National and State Prize. Every candidate’s application should contain the following information: name and surname of the candidate to the National Prize, date and place of birth, home adress, occupation, scientific degree, scientific-didactic title, honorary title, the contribution the candidate has brought to a field of activity, data about prizes and other distinctions regarding the efforts in the field, list of publications (depending on the discipline). Recommendations for the National Prize, indicating the field towards which the Prize is given (science, technology, culture and arts, sports) are to be presented to the committee till July 30, 2012.
