Moldovan Youth Orchestra led by Andriano Marian will perform Moldovan songs inspired from the 1960s-80s in a concert at the National Palace in Chisinau. According to the organizers, this period witnessed the appearance of composers, soloists, lyricists who created unique melodies by their originality and artistic expression, being later called the “golden period”. The concert is given on February 12, starting at 6pm, IPN reports.
The idea of the performance was inspired by Vitalie Corniciuc, an expert in the music of that period who took an active part in the compilation of the repertoire together with Andriano Marian, the producer of the concert. The latter noted they will do their best to give a performance that will remain in the hearts for a long period.
The concert aims to revive melodies discovered in the Vinyl collections of music lovers from Chisinau. It will be the climax of the tour that covered five national cities, namely Drochia, Edineț, Bălți, Drochia and Comrat.
The performance will include less known songs by Iurie Sadovnic, Anatol Dumitraș, Anatol Neamțu, Valentin Dînga and also famous songs from the repertoires of the bands “Noroc”, “Orizont”, “Tinerețe”, singer Shiko Aranov and the jazz ensemble “Bucuria”.
Among the special invitees of the concert are Constantin Moscovici, Ricu Vodă, Radu Dolgan, and Petru Toma.
