President Viktor Yanukovych declared February 20 a day of national mourning in Ukraine. The information was published on the Ukrainian President’s website.

Under the decree signed by the Ukrainian head of state, the fags will be flown at half mast all over Ukraine, while the radio stations and TV channels will make relevant changes in the broadcast schedule.

Contacted by IPN, Ana Iovciu, press attaché of the Ukrainian Embassy in Moldova said that as any other governmental institution, the embassy will comply with the presidential decree and will fly the flag at half mast.
