Before the winter holidays, the National Library of the Republic of Moldova mounts an exhibition entitled “Winter practices, customs and traditions of the Romanian people”. The exhibits include about 200 documents from the Library’s stock that describe the winter customs and traditions and researches carried out by Romanian folklorists, IPN reports.
The exhibition is structured thematically and has five divisions that contain documents about Romanians’ calendar customs and traditions during the winter holidays, ethnic and folkloric Christmas traditions, carols, traditional winter holiday songs and others, the National Library noted in a press release.
The exhibition is staged on the first floor of the central block of the Library and can be visited from December 15, 202 until January 10, 2021, according to the institution’s work program.
