National legislation in 13 areas to be adjusted to Community acquis

The national legislation this year will be adjusted to the EU acquis in 13 areas, in accordance with the national legislation harmonization plan approved by the Government. Minister of Justice Vladimir Grosu said this refers to documents that regulate the activity of commercial organizations, financial, standardization and competition services and in such areas as trade, intellectual property, agriculture and rural development and other areas stipulated in the Association Agreement between Moldova and the Europeans Union.

The plan envisions the adjustment of 96 acts, including 29 laws, 62 Government decisions and six departmental rules. There will be drafted and adopted the Law on Financial Inspection, the Law on Electrical Energy, and the Law on the Regime of Pyrotechnic Articles. The Law on Consumer Protection, the Code of Administrative Offenses and the Labor Code are to be amended.

All the drafted bills and normative documents will be discussed with civil society before being adopted.
