National labor inspection system to be assessed by ILO
The International Labor Organization (ILO) during December 2-5 will assess how the Moldovan legislative and institutional framework abides by the prerogatives of the international conventions ratified by Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The ILO will examine the regulations and functional mandates of the labor and health inspectorates, the quality of the mandates and the skillfulness of the inspectors, a communique from the ILO says.
According to the ILO coordinator Ala Lipciu, the ILO specialists will also inspect the related legislative framework and the structure of the relevant institutions. There will be formulated a memorandum that will contain the assessment of the Moldovan inspection system and recommendations for optimizing it.
The International Labor Organization is the United Nations specialized agency whose function is to seek the promotion of social injustice and internationally recognized human and labor rights. In partnership with the member states, it developed a unanimous code supported by international labor conventions and recommendations on the freedom of association, employment, social policies, workplace health and safety, industrial relations, labor administration and others.
