A division head of the National Investigations Inspectorate of the General Police Inspectorate was arrested on charges of drug distribution and abuse of power on January 12. This heads the Special Operations Division, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry of the Interior, the police determined that the man recurrently sold particular doses of hashish for €170 to €510.

On January 12, there were carried out eight searches to identify evidence. The division head faces up to 15 years in jail and ban on holding particular posts or performing particular activities during 6 to 15 years.

The investigation is managed by the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office.
