National Integrity Commission asked to examine property of deputy prosecutor

Prosecutor General Corneliu Gurin requested the National Integrity Commission to check the incomes and property of deputy prosecutor of Buiucani district Elena Neaga. The approach was made after the press disseminated information about the deputy prosecutor’s property and after pictures of her house appeared on social networking sites, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO), they will analyze the behavior of Elena Neaga to see if she violated the Code of Ethics, whose provisions are mandatory for every prosecutor both in their job and in the private life.

The PGO said any violation of the norms of conduct can be described as disciplinary deviation and is punished depending on its gravity.
