Over 1,000 employees of the National House of Social Insurance (CNAS) daily work within the central staff and in the 40 local subdivisions that serve more than 1 million recipients of social welfare. On February 16, the CNAS celebrates the 20th anniversary of its founding, being the only central administrative authority managed by the Government that ensures the realization of citizens’ constitutional rights to benefit from pensions, allowances intended for families with children, social benefits, allowances for temporary incapacity for work and other welfare, IPN reports.
“The institution’s specialists concentrate their efforts on ensuring high-quality services for the citizens and on increasing the trust and satisfaction of the payers of social contributions and recipients of social welfare,” said CNAS director general Elena Țîbîrnă, who is quoted in a press release.
She stated that during the 20 years of its founding, the CNAS has ensured dynamic international cooperation activity by implementing 14 international social security agreements signed by Moldova with other states. In the period, work has been done to increase transparency in the institution’s activity, providing swiftly different information to the business community and insured persons, adjusting itself to the requirements of time and introducing electronic services, such as e-Application for allowances intended for families with children, e-Application to reexamine old-age pension, Retirement age calculator and Pension calculator.
The allocation of financial resources for paying pensions and other social benefits on time is primarily due to those who pay contributions to the state social insurance budget. For the efficient management of the transferred amounts, the CNAS instituted the State Register of individual records in the public social insurance system. This common database managed by the CNAS allows the insured persons to see what sums were paid by employers through the information system ACCES CPAS.
