The Cabinet decided to transfer the National Horseracing and Modern Pentathlon School from the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, IPN reports.
The school was founded in 1956 and in time trained hundreds of athletes, six of whom became international masters, while 22 masters of sport. It now has 12 teachers who train 174 children. The administrative block is in need of extensive repair, as other facilities located on the territory of the school are.
The press repeatedly reported the problems faced by the school, including the absence of fodder for horses. The transfer could help identity solutions to these problems given that this is an education institution intended for the young generations.
