The national futsal team of Moldova scored a historical victory against Northern Ireland, 13-3. This enabled the team trained by Vladimir Vusatyi to qualify for the second round of the 2020 World Championship one stage before the final of the mini-tournament, IPN reports.

Sergiu Tacot, Cristian Obadă and Sergiu Nicolaichuk scored by three goals in the encounter with Northern Ireland. Andrei Negara and Andrian Lașcu scored by two goals. Earlier, Moldova beat Wales 8-4.

On February 2, Moldova meets Finland, which also has six points, at the Futsal Arena FMF in Ciorescu starting at 6pm. The first two raked teams qualify for the second stage.
