The national futsal team of Moldova learned its opponents in the first qualifying round of the 2020 FIFA Futsal World Cup. Moldova will play in Group H alongside Finland, Wales and Northern Ireland, IPN reports.
“As a matter of fact, it is an accessible group for us. Only Finland is a more powerful opponent as it is up on the unofficial rankings. We will struggle for the first place,” Moldova manager Vladimir Vusatyi told a news conference.
Moldova will host the preliminary mini-tournament next year, during January 29 - February 3, at the Futsal Arena FMF in Ciorescu commune of Chisinau municipality. The first two ranked teams in the group qualify for the second round.
