The national futsal team of Moldova on December 9 left for Italy to take part in the second qualifying round of the 2016 World Championship. Moldova forms part of the seventh group and will compete against Slovakia, Macedonia and Italy, IPN reports.
Vladimir Vusatyi’s team plays the first match, against Slovakia, on December 10. Italy, which is among the top ten teams of the world, is the favorite for qualification. The first two ranked teams from the seven groups qualify for the playoff round.
The lineup for these matches is: Oleg Hilotii, Alexandru Cojocari (both from Rymbcom Causeni), Sergiu Nicolaiciuc, Oleg Chitoroagy, Diego Gherman, Alexandru Tmbalist, Denis Reveachin (all from Progress Chisinau), Andrei Negara (Classic Chisinau), Leonid Podlesnov (FC Olimpia Balti), Cristian Obada, Sergiu Tacot (both from FIAT Autobergamo Deva, Romania), Andrian Lascu, Constantin Burdujel (both from CS United Galati, Romania) and Alexei Muntean (Etnikos Cipru).
