National futsal team experience another failure
Moldova’s national futsal team failed to qualify for the 2012 World Championship third preliminary round. On December 16, they were beaten by Slovenia 1-6 in the second match of the qualifying group, Info-Prim Neo reports. The only goal for Moldova was scored by Alexandru Antonov in the 9th minute. For the hosts, Damir Pertic and Rajko Ursic scored by two goals, while Rok Grzelj and Sebastjan Drobne by one goal.
English referee Marc Birkett showed eight yellow cards and two red cards, mostly to Moldovan players. Constantin Burdujel and Alexandru Antonov were sidelined in the second half of the game.
Thus, the team trained by Vladimir Vusatyi rank last in the group with no point. Slovenia head the rankings with six points, while Serbia come next with four points.
The last matches will take place on December 18. Moldova meet Israel, while Slovenia play Serbia.
