The national football team of Moldova this evening, September 3, plays the last exhibition match before the 2016 European Championship qualifying rounds. Moldova meets Ukraine in Kiev, IPN reports.
Moldova manager Ion Caras will be unable to summon the best Moldovan footballer of 2013 Alexandru Gatcan. The halfback suffered an injury in the Europa League encounter between FC Rostov and Trabzonspor.
“We must show a good game. We will make effort to cope with a powerful opponent,” goalkeeper of the national team Stanislav Namashko told the journalists.
Moldova and Ukraine have met four times so far, the last time in Odessa on March 26, 2013, when the Ukrainians scored a 2-1 victory. Ukraine had to play with Paraguay, but the South-American team refused to travel to Ukraine.
Moldova will enter the 2016 EURO qualifying rounds on September 8, when it plays against the national team of Montenegro.
