National football team score victory for morale

Before going to Sweden for a match from the 2012 European Championship qualifiers, Moldova’s national football team played a friendly with Academia UTM Chisinau, winning a 2-0 victory.
The goals were scored by Vadim Boret and Igor Picushchak. Manager Gabi Balint used all the 19 players available.
In the March 29 match with Sweden, Gabi Balint will not be able to use defenders Alexandru Epureanu and Vitalie Bordian, and halfbacks Andrei Cojocari and Igor Tagarlas, who were sidelined by injury. The team will travel to Sweden on Monday, March 28.
After four matches played, Moldova’s team rank fourth in qualifying group E with six points, like Sweden. However, Sweden have by one game played fewer. The leading Netherlands meet second-ranked Hungary on March 26.
