The national football team of Moldova takes the same 124th position in the FIFA rankings for this month released on July 9, with 236 points, IPN reports.
Recently, the team trained by Alexandru Curteian played away friendlies against Luxemburg (0-0) and Liechtenstein (1-1), of the Euro 2016 qualifying rounds. On September 5, Moldova meets Austria away, while on September 8 – Montenegro at home.
Of Moldova’s opponents from Group G, Austria has the best position – 15th. Russia ranks 28th, Sweden – 33rd, Montenegro – 81st, while Liechtenstein – 147th.
The FIFA rankings are topped by Argentine, followed by world champion Germany and Belgium. The next rankings will be made public on August 6, 2015.
