The National Bank of Moldova opens its doors to the public on the occasion of its 33rd anniversary. Those who want to know what a central bank is have the opportunity to visit it on Saturday and Sunday, June 8-9. The institution will host an exhibition with documentary testimonies from monetary history and workshops. People of all ages will be able to “go through” the stages of becoming the national currency so far, admire the collection of commemorative and jubilee coins issued by the National Bank of Moldova, as well as samples of other central banks, IPN reports.
Also, the visitors will be invited to a series of workshops designed in an interactive manner on topics related to the financial-banking field. Thus, anyone interested will be able to examine individually, with specialized equipment, the security features of the national currency within an extensive presentation by NBM experts. The topic of safety of cashless payments will also be brought to the attention of the public.
The National Bank of Moldova has also prepared a special workshop for students and young people in vocational training, where career opportunities at the central bank will be presented.
The Doors Open Day is an event that the central bank traditionally holds on the anniversary of its establishment, affirming its transparency and desire to be close to the public, officials from the banking institution said.
The activities will take place between 11.00 and 17.00, on the hour.
