The National Bank of Moldova on February 9 signed partnership agreements with the Academy of Economic Studies (ASEM) and the Technical University of Moldova (UTM). The sides aim to cooperate and organize studies and mutual exchange of knowledge so as to train specialists in the banking sector. The cooperation agreements are valid for three years, but could be extended with the consent of the sides.
In a press release, the National Bank said that under the agreement with the ASEM, it will stage internships for students and teachers in order to familiarize these with practical aspects of banking activity, including the Basel III regulations. Experts of the National Bank will stage fact-finding practicums for teachers and doctoral students and will take part in their scientific research and projects.
Within the cooperation with the UTM, the National Bank will support the creation of a database about the central bank so as to inform the teaching staff and students about the bank’s activity, including by placing information on www.cariera.utm.md. The bank will benefit from the UTM’s support and counseling in solving technological and economic problems.
Representatives of the ASEM and UTM will be invited to conferences and public events organized by the National Bank, where these could present the results of the own analyses and research.
