National Award contest to take place according to new regulations

The National Award contest will be more transparent, with clear and distinct stages, organized based on new regulations that were approved by the Cabinet, IPN reports.

The document describes the range of accomplishments for which the National Award is given. These include scientific researches, publications, products, new processes and services with high socioeconomic potential, implementation of new technologies, creation products and artistic innovations, contribution to developing sports and innovative approach to solving pressing problems confronting society.

Also, the regulations define the content of the file, the model of the recommendation letter for taking part in the contest and the form for appraising the submitted file.

The contest will take place annually in five stages, between March and August. This year, the stages are as follows: first stage – May; second stage – May and June; third stage – June; fourth stage – July and the final stage – August.

The National Award consists of a diploma, medal and a money award of 100,000 lei. The Government annually confers up to ten National Awards during the events held to mark the Independence Day.
