The National Art Museum of Moldova offers the general public a variety of cultural activities on the occasion of the 2022 European Night of Museums, which will take place on May 14, starting at 17:00. Admission is free, IPN reports.
From 17:00 to 23:00, visitors will be able to see the Museum’s permanent and temporary exhibitions, and from 18:00 to 20:00 creative workshops for children will be held. Henna embellishments will be offered from 18:00 to 21:00, and between 18:00 and 21:30 several workshops will be held: engraving (moderated by Ruslan Roșca), poetry (moderated by Dumitru Crudu) and a self-portrait masterclass with the painter Mihai Țăruș.
From 17:15 pm to 22:30, a musical performance will take place in the Museum’s Great Hall, featuring bands from the National Music School “S. Rachmaninoff”, the Arts School “Al. Stârcea”, the Music School “C. Porumbescu ”; Ion Negură, the soloist flutist of the Chisinau Organ Hall; soloists of the “Serghei Lunchevici” National Philharmonic: Elena Demirdjean, Adriana Spunei, and Violeta Botezatu; and others.
Visitors to the Museum can also enjoy music recitals at the Balcony Hall. From 18:00 to 22:30, there will be music recitals by students from the “Alexei Stârcea” School of Arts, the accordion ensemble of the National Music School “S. Rachmaninoff”, Alexandru Cioroi, the National Chamber Choir, Ulizana & Tori and “Ștefan Neaga” Center of Excellence in Art Education.
The European Museum Night was initiated by the French Ministry of Culture and is currently sponsored by UNESCO and the Council of Europe and the International Council of Museums.
