A total of 500 troops will be involved in the 2023 Fire Shield/Rapid Trident multinational exercise, which will include infantry and artillery live-fire drills. The exercise will run until September 22.

The Ministry of Defense informs the public that during this period there will be movements of military equipment on public roads. The public is advised to respect conditions of access near National Army training grounds and avoid being involved in spreading disinformation in connection with the exercise.

According to the authorities, the purpose of the exercise is to increase the interoperability between the participating contingents and the level of training for peacekeeping operations.
