National Army servicemen to vote this Sunday

National Army servicemen and contract soldiers will exercise their right to vote in the constitutional referendum and presidential election in the Republic of Moldova on October 20, the Ministry of Defense said in a news release, quoted by IPN.

Soldiers from the Balti, Cahul and Chisinau garrisons will be able to vote at the polling stations in the constituency of the military unit, with their identity card.

The soldiers of the Peacekeeping Forces deployed in Varnița, Coșnița and Cocieri will go to the polling stations in the localities where the subdivisions to which they belong are located.

Moldovan peacekeepers dispatched to the KFOR mission in Kosovo will be able to vote at the polling station in Sofia, Bulgaria, and those of the EUFOR ALTHEA mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina will vote at the polling station in Timisoara, Romania.

The Ministry of Defense said that, according to the legislation and recommendations of the Central Election Commission, ahead of election day, information about the peculiarities of the referendum and presidential election, voting procedure and other useful data were posted in military units.
