National Army contingent to take part in December 1 military parade in Bucharest

A contingent of the National Army will march at the military parade that will be held in Bucharest on December 1, when Romania’s National Day or the Great Union Day is celebrated, IPN reports.

The Ministry of Defense said the 17 soldiers of the Guard of Honor will march in the Square of the Arch of Triumph in Bucharest alongside other foreign contingents detached to Romania and contingents of the allies contributing to the NATO bodies on the territory of the neighboring state.

The state flag will be carried by major Pavel Lysyi, while the Moldovan platoon will be led by lieutenant Oleg Carauș.

Moldovan soldiers have taken part in the military parade in Romania since 2014.
