Moldova’s airspace was reopened at 2:47pm, according to the Civil Aviation Authority, which is quoted by the First Source Telegram channel that enables to verify government information, IPN reports.
“As a result of a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission for Airspace Management, a NOTAM was issued to inform about the temporary closure of the airspace of the Republic of Moldova at 11:24am for the purpose of ensuring the safety and security of civil aviation,” said the authorities, noting that more details will be provided later.
The Chisinau International Airport informed that the airspace of the Republic of Moldova was closed until 4pm on Tuesday following a decision taken by the Civil Aviation Authority. The passengers who planned flights for Tuesday were requested to follow the information board on the Airport’s website.
