Moldova is very close to a crucial event for its destiny – the initialing of the Association Agreement with the EU, which provides for the creation of a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area, at the Vilnius EaP Summit, Deputy Prime Minister Natalia Gherman said in a news conference where the Liberal Democratic Party launched the National Responsibility Pact for a European Moldova, IPN reports.
“The Association Agreement means a systemic and well-structured path to the EU. We need the support and mobilization of whole society as the foreign policy can be successful only when there is cohesion and unity at internal level,” said Natalia Gherman.
As to the National Responsibility Pact for a European Moldova, Natalia Gherman said it comes to unite society and to show the EU partners that there is unity and mobility, the EU being the most efficient development model for the country.
On November 18, the Liberal Democratic Party called on all the parliamentary and extra-parliamentary parties, civil society and the ordinary people of Moldova to support the National Responsibility Pact for a European Moldova. The signatories pledge to act in concert and to ensure the cohesion of whole society, elites, political forces, civil society and the people. They also commit themselves to ensure the continuity of the European integration process, despite provocations and pressure, and to promote the European integration as a national project and to mobilize society around this project.
