Natalia Gavrilița’s team split camps in Parliament

The MPs have differing opinions about the governmental team presented by the candidate for Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița. The PAS MPs say the potential ministers are professionals with an irreproachable reputation, while the MPs of other parties consider this is a sacrifice Government that can be voted in by the Socialist MPs and the MPs of the Shor Party only to deride the team, IPN reports.

A number of pro-European MPs said they were surprised to see the composition of the proposed governmental team and they consider this is extremely politicized.

“This team was constituted for not being voted in. If they had intended to form a serious Government, this would have included more professionals and known people. I don’t think the PAS would risk going with such a team by including two very powerful representatives in Parliament, Litivinenco and Popșoi, into it as the PAS will this way become weaker in Parliament,” PPPDA MP Vasile Năstase stated in the talk show “Ghețu Asks” on TV8 channels.

“Half of those who were nominated are members of the PAS or affiliates, with particular links with the previous Government of Maia Sandu. It is a sacrifice Government that does not inspire seriousness and it can be voted in only by the Socialists and the Shor Party so as to continue the agony of this Parliament. If this Government is voted in, it will cause many problems to the presidential administration and the PAS,” said unaffiliated MP Octavian Țîcu.

The Socialists believe the President faces problems in identifying competent persons as those candidates went through all the state institutions, alongside Maia Sandu.

“They are good NGO managers, project coordinators and analysts. But being good is not a profession. It is a shame and this shame places the colleagues who supported Maia Sandu in the presidential elections in a bad light. They are all “Filat’s children”,” said Socialist MP Vladimir Odnostalco.

On the other side, the party mates of Natalia Gavrilița said the PAS vice president constituted a team of professionals who will be able to handle the economic crisis if they are voted in.

“The moral and professional qualities of these people are much higher than those of the politicians we had in the Republic of Moldova until now. Their intellectual capacities, even if some of them didn’t work at miniseries, enable them to swiftly grasp things,” said PAS MP Vladimir Bolea.
