Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița during September 26-28 is paying a visit to Tokyo where she will take part in the state funeral for ex-Premier Shinzo Abe, IPN reports, quoting the Government’s press service.
The agenda of the visit includes a bilateral meeting with her Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida. The officials will confer on the Moldovan-Japanese cooperation relations and on possibilities of stepping up cooperation on segments of common interest. Premier Gavrilița will also meet with the chairman of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Nobuhiko Sasaki and the president of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Akihiko Tanaka.
The official will also discuss with Yoshio Sato, chair of the Committee on Europe of the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren), and with Osamu Mogi, chair of the International Affairs Committee of Keizai Doyukai and Kikkoman Senior Managing Executive Officer.
The former Premier of Japan Shinzo Abe died on July 7 after he was shot during a campaign event in Nara. The attacker was arrested. The state funeral was planned for September 27. Shinzo Abe was 67.
