The leader of the Political Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” (PPPDA) Andrei Năstase expects that the recently appointed Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo will complete the investigations he started as the minister of the interior through the Ministry’s bodies.
In a video interview for IPN News Agency, the politician said he expects final results in the investigation into the illegal tapping of the phones of journalists, civic activists and politicians, primarily from the PPPDA. Igor Dodon became an accomplice to the illegalities committed by the former regime by keeping silent as the chief of the Supreme Security Council.
The leader of the PPPDA also wants light to be shed in the case of double identity of Vladimir Plahotniuc and people close to him, in the Russian Laundromat case and in the bank fraud. The prosecutor general has all the materials gathered by the commission of inquiry into the bank fraud led by Alexandru Slusari and other documents accumulated by the parliamentary commissions of inquiry. Investigations should be held into illegal privatization or the illegal external financing intended for the Party of Socialists.
Andrei Năstase presented an order whereby a prosecutor clears Plahotniuic and Dodon of sins. This is Alexandru Cernei whose duty was to investigate and gather evidence of the financing provided by Russia to the PSRM. But the case was hushed up. “I will demand that this prosecutor and his superiors, if these were involved in the decision he made, should be held accountable.”
The politician also said he will request the state institutions to examine the discussion between Igor Dodon and representatives of the firm Yandex in Moldova held on October 28, several days before the runoffs, so as to determine what the involvement of this firm in the elections was.
In the election campaign, the people were misled through the media outlets affiliated to the PSRM and the PDM. He will demand that the state institutions should establish on what money this was done and on what money his candidate campaigned as this is dubious money.
The interview with Andrei Năstase forms part of the series “Crossroads of years through the angle of the ideal of living well at home” that will involve President Igor Dodon and Prime Minister Ion Chicu and the leaders of the main parliamentary parties Pavel Filip and Maia Sandu.
