Name of new investor for construction of Central Stadium is kept by authorities a secret

The central authorities announce that they found a new investor for the construction of the Central Stadium, but its name is kept a secret so far. Info-Prim Neo asked the director of Sports Agency, Andrei Cmili, to make public the name of the investor and the conditions on the implementation of the project but he refused to provide the information. A press release of the Government says that PM Vasile Tarlev asked the persons in charge to actively contribute to implementing the project as a new investor was selected. Vladimir Baldovici, director of the Agency for Constructions and Development of the Territory was named the person in charge with the observance of the construction process. At the end of June, the PM announced that the foreign company “Kilogrin”, appointed by the Government in May 2006 as the entrepreneur for the construction of the Central Stadium of the Municipality of Chisinau, gave up financing the project. Previously, the authorities were announcing that the new investor will be offered the same conditions as those announced for the first investor. It will have the property rights over the building and will have the possibility to recoup the investments by selling the rest of the edifices which will be built in the zone. “Kilogrin” was planning to build a stadium with a capacity of at least 30 thousand seats within three years.
